Frequently asked questions

How does Regen block my apps?
You choose which apps distract you and set focus hours. During those hours, Regen locks the apps you picked. Regen uses Apple's Screen Time to do this privately and securely on your device.
How do I unlock a blocked app?
When you open a blocked app, Regen shows you a few flashcards. Answer enough of them correctly and the app unlocks. If you miss, you can try again — or use your one emergency unlock per day.
Regen is asking for Screen Time permission. Is that safe?
Yes. Regen needs Screen Time access to lock and unlock the apps you choose. This stays on your device — Regen can't see your messages or browsing, and the permission is only used to enforce the blocks you set up.
What is the daily streak?
Every day you study keeps your streak alive. Optional evening reminders nudge you before you break it. The streak is there to make showing up feel rewarding.
Where do the flashcards come from?
Tell Regen what you want to learn and it builds personalized decks for you. You can study languages, science, exam prep, or anything else you choose.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Regen, and choose Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
I deleted the app and my apps are still blocked. What do I do?
Open Settings › Screen Time › App Limits (and Always Allowed) and remove any restrictions tied to Regen. If anything still looks stuck, email us and we'll walk you through it.
